The results for the 2024 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams were officially announced on Tuesday morning.

This year, an impressive 77.78% of candidates successfully passed the exams. Notably, a total of 145,911 students achieved a perfect GPA of 5.00, marking a significant increase from the previous year's total of 92,365 students. This year’s results reflect a positive trend in academic performance among students.

The announcement was made by the chairmen of the relevant education boards, who released the results around 11:00 AM. This moment is a significant milestone for both students and educators, showcasing the hard work and dedication put forth during the academic year.

A total of 1,450,790 students from nine general education boards, the Madrasah Board, and the Technical Board were anticipated to sit for the exams, conducted across 9,463 educational institutions and 2,275 centers nationwide.

This year's HSC results were generated through a subject-mapping process. For six canceled exams, students' marks were derived from their performances in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent exams. This approach aimed to ensure fairness in evaluation despite the challenges faced.
