In the last 24 hours, the dengue outbreak has escalated, with at least eight patients succumbing to the illness and 1,108 new hospitalizations reported. The deaths were distributed across several regions: one each occurred in Barishal, Chattogram, and Dhaka divisions, while the remaining fatalities were recorded within Dhaka city itself.
As of now, there are 3,680 patients currently receiving treatment for dengue, indicating the ongoing strain on healthcare resources. Encouragingly, a total of 40,861 patients have been successfully discharged from hospitals up to yesterday, reflecting the effectiveness of treatment and care provided to those affected. The situation underscores the urgent need for continued public health efforts to manage and mitigate the dengue outbreak in both urban and rural areas.
